As a person with a T6-T7 spinal cord injury, Doug Woodwell currently serves as president of United Spinal of Indiana, as facilitator of a spinal cord injury support group at RHI, as a board member of AcessABILITY, and as the Indianapolis Volunteer Regional Director for the Buoniconti Fund. He works as a faculty member at the University of Indianapolis.

Mason Ellis was Involved in a vehicle accident in 2015 that resulted in him becoming a C5-C7 quadriplegic. This led to him starting a YouTube channel to make videos to help others live life just as if they were able-bodied. Living in southern Indiana, he has an interest in technology and country music, enjoy helping others and problem-solving, and enjoys playing videogames and hunting. He is a mentor for the Christopher Reeve Foundation Peer and Family Support Program.

Rose Shrader is a C4-C5 quad, paralyzed from the chest down since 2002. She currently lives in Cloverdale and teaches composition courses at Indiana State University. Some of her hobbies include writing, drawing, traveling, and talking– a little too much. She finds guidance and continues to grow in her Christian faith.

Rebekah Thomas is a Purdue University graduate, disability travel advocate, and Marketing and Outreach Manager at NeuroHope. After sustaining an incomplete L1 spinal cord injury in 2020, she became passionate about helping others connect with resources and opportunities throughout Indiana’s disability community. She is active in adaptive sports, accessible travel and helps support United Spinal of Indiana’s SCI support group and community events. Rebekah is also a mom of who enjoys traveling with her family and exploring new accessible destinations.
